What is Suya?

Suya (pronounced soo-ya) is a Nigerian snack food.  It is prepared by grilling thinly sliced skewered meat (usually beef) that is seasoned with a special spicy peanut rub.  The meat is then served with freshly chopped onions and tomatoes.  The onions render extra flavor while the tomatoes to cool down the palette.

Your choice of one-half or whole chicken seasoned with a signature blend of spices that makes your mouth water with every bite. 

Grilled fish elevated, this dish is a PaPa Suya specialty!  One whole fish stuffed with onions and sealed in a spicy, highly seasoned rub and served with PaPa Suya's special onion and tomato saute along with grilled plantain.

Eating suya is an art form of its own.  The best way to maximize your eating experience is to dig in.  Literally!  Take your fingers grab a piece of suya, scoop up some chopped onion and tomato (the amount is based on your taste), eat then repeat.
